Last week, Coach Nathan Stinson took his Honors Geography and Gifted & Talented students to the Fort Worth Zoo. The students had a chance to get up close and personal with much of the plant and animal life they've studied all year. It was a great experience for them to see much of what they've studied in class come to life.

Last week, students in Mrs. Allison Stanley's chemistry lab calculated how many calories are in the food they eat by actually burning food. Students weighed, then lit the food on fire. The heat from the flame increased the temperature of water in the cans. This data was used to calculate the calories in a single Cheeto, Taki and Marshmallow!
