Last Friday Vernon ISD held a Lions Roar Recognition Luncheon to honor employees with longevity awards and special honors. The theme for the event was "Vacation Mode." The district announced the VISD Elementary and Secondary Teachers of the Year, with the awards going to Kristin Chavira and Brady Parum, and the Lions Pride Partner of the Year Award which went to Hillcrest Pharmacy.
